A recording of my variation cycle “Die sechs Ansichten des Kirchturms zu Springiersbach” (The six views of the steeple in Springiersbach) for guitar solo is now available on Youtube:
Puzzling music
Composing is like doing a puzzle of notes
– without knowing what the final puzzle will look like.
Arrangements
Over time I wrote several arrangements for plucked string instruments. A list of the works is now to be found on a new page in the “Work” menu.
The pieces for guitar solo are available for download as PDF. The other works will follow shortly.
New Instagram account
I just opened an Instagram account for my musical activities: www.instagram.com/danielhuschert
The link can also be found next to the other social media links in the footer of every page.
Quartet Nr. 2 finished
I finished my new Quartet No. 2 E minor. The work is dedicated to the Eulenspiegelquartett.
New music for guitar solo
My recently finished “Prélude No. 1” starts a series of concert pieces for guitar solo in the tradition of the Prelúdios by H. Villa-Lobos. The series is planned to be continued in the longer term.
Living music
I don’t live from my music,
but I do live for music.
To be able to do this without pressure is a great luck.
New work for the LJZO Brandenburg/Berlin
Already in March I finished my orchestral work “Crags of Ayrshire”. It is dedicated to the LJZO Brandenburg/Berlin and was given to the orchestra and its conductor Vitali Alekseenok yesterday during the Eurofestival Zupfmusik in Bruchsal.
Concert recording “Concerto Nr. 4”
My “Concerto Nr. 4” is now available online:
Popular music
I don’t believe in populism.
Music – like all art – doesn’t have to be beautiful,
but truthful.
